Have you tried restarting the community on another software or don't want to lose the content?
Had to restart the community once before after proboards deleted the original forum out of the blue. Lost a lot of members that way and restarting again would just be pointless as will lose everything including what few members I have that are active.
Have you broached the subject with them to see? Not trying to make the decision for you or push you into it, I know a lot of people aren't fans of tapatalk and that could be steering guests away from joining.
Well at the moment there's only 1 other person actually posting so it'd be a bit pointless. Plus not many other free software can do what I want really.

Why so opposed to other free softwares? I've heard MyBB is pretty flexible for a free software though I'm not a big fan of it.
Because I've tried them in the past and nothing provides what I want. The best free software I've found is proboards (minus the ignorant staff that run it) but obviously can't go back to that.
What's wrong with Jcink? Cory runs an awesome coding community and has shown to be pretty considerate of doing what he can to help improve things, most of the time for free.
I don't know anything about jcink. Never heard of it. Don't know who cory is.

Neither as they are caging animals for human entertainment. Enclosures usually far too small, lack of environmental enrichment.
Often the animals are psychologically damaged from the boredom and display steretypy behaviour (i. e. Pacing).
They often kill young that have been born too due to limited space instead of separating genders or spaying/neutering. And many animals in zoos and aquariums originate from the wild (basically stolen from the wild to put in zoos/aquariums).
