In a time where "cancel culture" seems to be prevalent, do you believe in boycotting certain brands and stores for their actions? I can't remember the name of the brand but there is a food brand in the US that people are boycotting at the moment because the owner spoke in favour of Trump.

Have you ever boycotted a brand?
 
Nope and I don't see the point in it. What makes it any different than blackmailing? Sure it hurts the owner of the brand; but, a major loss of revenue costs people their jobs too. Why is it so hard to separate people and their personal views from their brands?

The same could be said of an article where an individual was calling out his family to boycott a particular fast food chain because the owner's views were against their own.
 
I have never specifically boycotted anything nor do I think I would. My preferences have changed and I do shop at other stores because of a negative experience or the alternative offers more variety/convenience.

I do tend to avoid some stores though (Walmart...) because it is always insanely busy, and you can't get anywhere fast. I think I only step foot inside that store 2-3 times per year.

I much prefer online shopping tbh...
 
No I didn't since I don't think it would be much affect. In most stores in Croatia you can find same products in different stores so if you don't buy in one, you will buy same thing in another. Also, when store go broke, it just change name, invest new money and start all over it. I also don't like actions like boycott stuff from China or other countrys.
 
Some places deserve to be boycotted. I do disagree with some of the cancel culture.

Boycotting Paw Patrol because the main character is a cartoon dog cop.... is kind of ridiculous.
 
My wannabe activist peers don’t know what boycotting is. Apparently continuing to buy things from said company is considered boycotting.
 
I have never blatantly gone out of my way to boycott a brand. I guess it's possible that I could, but I'd rather shop smart. I'll go for the best quality, the best price, the most convenient, etc. My belief system doesn't have to align with the brand.
 
I don't boycott any brand unless it is not good for my person. it could just be my personal decision and that's it.
