Is anyone else have issues with Forum Promotion?

Just got a message from Cloudfare that I have been "banned temporarily" from accessing it and that I have been "rate limited".

I posted a thread since I could still post from my phone thankfully. It seems to have sorted itself out which is good.

Likewise. I'm not having issues either. I wonder why you're having trouble. Hopefully they get you fixed up.

Forum Promotion is awesome! I've been there for almost a decade now, been part of the package team for about a few months now too. I used to be part of the review team when reviews existed, and was also part of the package team in the past too.

Yeah. Gives us something else to spend our FP$ on as well because I'm not a huge fan of the advertising/social media service right now. It's a shame that the community review thing they have right now isn't too popular
 
I was never really a fan of reviews, not to sound full-of-myself but most of the time I had way more experience / knowledge of running & maintaining forums than the person doing my review. Of course everyone’s opinion is valid and should be taken into consideration. I would just rather have a more experienced person with a larger and more active forum than mine reviewing my forum (but that never really happened).

Because you know why lol. We mostly just bullshit people in the reviews while I sat on the team under a month. We just weren't allowed to be blunt about it.

I had a mostly identical experience with the review section. Though when I joined FP like 10 years ago, the reviews were more condescending. It also didn’t help that a lot of the reviewers at the time were also the people who were notorious for opening and shutting down multiple forums within a year.

Personally I felt it was really silly that they were promoted to a position to tell people how to run a successful forum, but they can’t keep a forum running for more than a couple months.

It's been pretty stable since then, to be fair. I guess you're talking about the recent attacks that took it down for a couple of days right?
