I'm married and he is my longest relationship. It will be 3 years end of next month. I've known him for 3 years since November.

How about you?

I was with a guy for around 2.5 years then it crashed and burned big time. There were problems from the beginning, but the pros outweighed the cons, so I kept thinking everything would work out. Things kept getting worse, but it happened so slowly I didn't notice until stuff started to get way too stressful and then we drifted apart and it ended.

Almost 13 years, the irony!

We'd been struggling for a couple of years, but lockdown was the final nail in the coffin.

I'm not sure how long but it was years.
I broke it off with him. It was not right any longer.
I wanted to feel safe but did not really want to be in a relationship.
We both made mistakes on both sides. Not only him.
We said we would remain friends but we did not. I saw him once a couple years ago when we went to lunch together and we were on good terms. We apologized for our mistakes and left on good terms. No hard feelings.

5 years.

It's not that i want it to end.. but somehow it doesn't work for me.. i feel that i try my best but something always is missing.. sometimes i feel that my hopes are lost in that matter.. i want to have kids but not with just anyone, i feel disappointed right now..

Just sounds like you haven't found the right person yet... :)

My Mom told me that sometimes you just have to step back and concentrate on yourself and what makes YOU happy. When you stop looking for 'the right person', that's when you're going to meet them. That's what I'm doing now and even though the 'right person' hasn't happened yet, I'm much happier within.

That's true, when i was single during high school i was much happier than i am now and that was when i focused only on myself.

23 years is great going! Congratulations!

Seven years in a previous relationship. I'm now married and have been together six years. :)
Thank you! Congrats to your 6 years :)
In this day and age that's amazing and congratulations to you.
Appreciate that :) My parents have been married 52 years!

What helps is not focusing so much on love but more on LIKING the partner. I love some of my family members but I do NOT like them lol Loving & Liking yourself goes a long way as well!
While my husband & I have some differences, we have enough in common to be best friends. Compromising, respecting, are also key.
