What would you say?

I would tell myself to take high school a little more seriously, take that year off between high school and college, and go into accounting vs. Human resources.

Language barrier in Canada kind of sucks...

What about you?

To never go on that computer. Discovering the Internet led to a lot of problems.

Also to tell myself to get tested for Aspergers. Would have made school a whole lot easier.

I'd tell my 14-year-old self not to wait on getting the ablation I needed. I waited until I was about 25, and I heavily regret putting it off so long.

I would say to my younger self:

Don’t worry. Everything is going to be ok. Just keep doing what you’re doing and enjoy yourself as much as you can. Life is for living. Eat the cake, drink the wine, kiss the girl. Take that holiday. Buy that car.

Everything which happened in my life lead me to this point so everything must have been good. No regrets.

Be careful what you wish for. The tiniest influence on your journey through this life could have devastating consequences.

Well, we all make mistakes and at times I wish I can change those mistakes. LIke school/collage I would change the way I did things in class and if I did change them I will be a different person now.

I had allot of health and family problems and I don't think I can change that if I was to ask myself do this and that.

We all make mistakes and as unfortunate as it sounds, we cannot alter the past. We can only change the future which lies ahead. I would definitely have told my younger self to avoid social media and study harder through secondary school in preparation for my GCSEs.

The few snippets of the conversation I would have with my younger self would be:

- Make sure to follow through with soccer, no matter how much you hate how your former friends tease or pick on you, you should never put your passion second to what others think and it could lead you to future opportunities for scholarships.

- Put in that time to get more community service or take more college courses, avoid as many general education ones as you can to help save money and shave time off your time in college.

- Spend more time with your grandparents, you will never know how much you'll miss them when they're gone.

The things you must consider are:

1) you’re alive
2) that you are reading this means you have an at least standard level of education - you can read and write, interact with your environment
3) you have a roof over your head and food in your belly

those are good indicators of a high standard of living and everything you have done until this point - all those mistakes included - have made you the person you are and brought to this point in history; alive, fit and well, not hungry, not homeless and with your ability to be a member of a social group intact. Everything you did has been a route to this point in time. Don’t go back on time and don’t tell your past-self anything to change your journey. Because if you ain’t dead you’re doing ok.

I would tell him to listen to my Parents and Teachers

This is a difficult thing to think about for me, as I try to look ahead to the future more than reflecting on the past. It would be far too easy for me to change a lot of things that went wrong. But I think things have to fall apart sometimes to make way for better things and to help you to learn and grow for sure. That being said, maybe one piece of advice I would have loved to hear is to work on my self-esteem so I can surround myself with better people.

I would say: Don't wait for others. Take little more risk and don't play only on safe.
I misted many stuff and relationships since I waited for others or I played on safe.
I think this would be good for my younger version.

I would tell my younger self to try to get a decent paying job earlier, after getting out of school. Have issues with having money now, because I didn't plan far enough in advance with getting a decent job earlier than when I did.
