I'm asking because I'm trying to grasp my head around it. Usually, when you use those words you refer to a group of people but now people are trying to use those because they don't identify as "girl" or "boy"... even if they have that genitalia.

Personally, I think that regardless of what you think about your body, you are either a girl or a boy depending on your genitalia, therefore you use the gender of your genitalia. If you happen to have both, then you go by what is down below the belt. I know this is not the popular opinion. This is just how I am.

Just for clarification sex is your biological 'down there'. Gender is how you feel mentally. I. E. You can have male genitalia but think like a female and vice versa; and a bit of both (which I am - mentally anyway).

As a non binary identifying person, I don't particularly care what people refer to me as, sex wise. They're just words to me. You can call me he/she/they/them/it/god.... I honestly don't care.

I know others are more bothered though. However unless they explicitly ask you to do it, I do not see why anyone should say desired sex/gender identifying pronouns or lack of sex/gender identified pronouns automatically.

If I see someone who outwardly appears as a certain sex of course I'm going to refer to them as a he or she. It's automatic for most people. If it upsets someone I guess I will apologise and try to accommodate them but that's as far as I'll go. I won't change my language just on the off chance a person I am speaking of identifies as a certain gender/doesn't identify as any gender.

Sorry, if I see a female I'm going to say she. I get it people want to be viewed as other genders, but unless they take the steps to look as such, they simply have to live with what they look like.
You wouldn't happen to be referring to the 'she' who went on a rampage in a Gamestop because for all intents and purposes 'she' looked like a six foot something, clearly masculine male with only earrings and their hair grown out.

I'm going to refer to you as what you appear like biologically. Now I know this may cause issues with some because there are androgynous people or people who appear partly male and partly female in appearance; of indeterminate sex. This would be one of the times where I more than likely would say the wrong gender and apologize when corrected.

I say They / Them because I do not want someone blowing up at me. If I call someone a She and She does not identify that way, and it is my first time speaking to Her, how would I know she prefers to be called something else? I've been blown up @ like this before.........

I say they or them all the time if I'm not sure so if they don't care, go nuts.

Confusing? Slightly but if they mention it to me, I will happily try my best to remember that for next time. It's not a huge thing and it doesn't negatively affect me, so I have no problems with it
