I'm not a fan of novels, he didn't accept RM's first offer and that's that. I feel that he's been a good captain but not the most emblematic.
He sure is one of the top 5 best defensive players ever.. and one of the most scoring defenders too! his goal against Atl. Madrid on the UCL final was so important for the club.
