Only one that comes to mind is the dot hack series, which I've played nearly a year on.

Just Thanksgiving and Christmas mainly and for the foreseeable future I'll be working into the new year since I don't get off till midnight

Yep! The original fat PS2, I know when I last used it didn't read DVDs well but still played games good enough. I should find and dust it off.
