Ask M-D

Interesting! Why what're the reasons for it?

There's nothing wrong with the lore. The movie really tried hard to follow the script and sell the audience. It's just that Arnold Schwarzenegger only did a cameo in it.

If Salvation had been made like this scene from T-2 seeing as it was all about the future. The future was obviously about Skynet and it's army of T-800's and the advanced models of Hunter Killer units mowing down humans with guns and the human resistance fighting back. It would have owned the box office. But that's not what we got.

Instead they wanted to show the early stages of the war and John Connor rising through the ranks. If they would have just gone with the flashback wars with the T-800's and Kyle Reese using the TDE than they would have had something. But no. They had to complicate it like they always do.

Was Terminator Salvation a bad movie? No it wasn't. But it also wasn't that entertaining either.

How can you define yourself as an expert on Terminator films?

I've watched them back to back. I've tried to learn as much I could about them on the Internet and have found a lot of information on them. I'm still learning. I've found that people get confused with the movies. They seem to get confused with Arnold playing the same role he does. They haven't discovered that there is a multiverse in the Terminator franchise which explains why there are alternate time lines.

T-3 confused people with this scene where they made John Connor more ignorant and naive than they should have. He asks the T-850 a series of stupid questions believing him to be Uncle Bob to which the T-850 says that it was a different T-800. It also seems to be annoyed by John the entire movie.

Uncle Bob was scrapped after T-2. The T-850 sent back in time was not him obviously but an upgraded variant of the model series. T-850's are supposed to be smarter and stronger.

But you also have to know that T-3 is an alternate timeline where Skynet was actually made by the government's CRS division.

The original timeline ended after the first two movies according to James Cameron and Linda Hamilton until they decided to add Terminator Dark Fate. Fans didn't really agree that John Connor should have been killed off. So now Dark Fate is being put in the category with the other sequels that are part of the Alternate Universe.

Originally in the first film, Skynet and John Connor came to a timeline they didn't exist in. They were marooned in those timelines and causing a repeat of those events. You could say they were leap frogging in the Parallel Universe using the TDE.

If you were to pick any terminator to watch over and over again that, what would it be and why

I kind of have watched T-2 multiple times when I was 7 years old in the same week I got it.

There's nothing more that can be done. James Cameron covered everything in the first 2 movies and gave us Terminator Dark Fate. Terminator 5: Genesys and Terminator 6: Dark Fate was an interesting change up of things and how they introduced a multiverse. Terminator 3, Sarah dies from cancer and Skynet was finished by CRS. Terminator Genesys, Skynet becomes Genesys Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor trave through time to 2017 to stop it with a T-800 named Pops. In Dark Fate, Carl, a T-800 terminates John Connor 3 years after the events of T-2. Legion is an upgraded variant of Skynet and Dani Ramos becomes the new savior of humankind. Sarah Connor and Carl volunteer to protect her. All of these movies are based on paradoxes of parallel and alternate timelines.

How many films of the terminator do you think what they will make? will they end it for good?

They shouldn't make anymore. They should leave it alone now. There hasn't been any official announcement of another sequel yet. I know that James Cameron and Linda Hamilton are finished with the franchise.

What would you want them to do with the Dredd franchise?
