"everything is gonna be fine" or "you have nothing to worry about". Everybody wants to tell you that you have just to give up everything and try again in other side.

Worst thing you can do is shame them and tell them that it's their fault that they're sad. That's what my dad did to me when I was depressed. He told me to quit feeling sorry for myself and stop with my pity party. He didn't care about my feelings.

"You'll get over it" Because it infantilizes (or just generally shrinks) issues that may be more to some than it is to others, everyone is different and can tolerate and cope differently, so this phrase is really toxic.

As someone who has suffered severe depression for years. I have almost committed suicide a few time. The last one I left a suicide note and almost did it. Thankfully I have a strong mindset and stopped myself from doing that.
I have burned myself in the past because of my depression. So I have been through it and I have said this statement.
Because I know whats it like to go through it and it does a get better. So I explain this along with the statement.

Can be hard if you are alone, need people that are next to you to support you. Even those mates that you have online. Just talking to them in Discord can help.

We all need to talk both offline and online These days we get more opportunities to talk online as most are busy with their own life. It is said chatting is good for the brain as it keeps the brain active.

I won't say anything worse to a depressed person. Already the person is depressed, why should I add to his woes?
