The new Omicron subvariant suddenly making up 40 per cent of cases in the U.S. may be better at evading antibodies than previous variants, according to some experts.
We are seeing increases in this new variant all over with cases being seen in the UK as well which is where I am from. If I was any leader or government official for a country I would definitely take things seriously whether they know if it's in their country or not just to be on the safe side. I don't think it will be long before we are seeing this variant all over the world and not just in a few places to be honest and even though it doesn't seem to cause any more severe illness or so they say at the moment, it is evading vaccines and I would say at the moment, it would be too early to tell how it affects some people.
