My experiences living with step parents have always been difficult and bad. My step mother ruined my relationship between me and my father and basically ran me off. I moved back in with my mom and her husband. My relationship with my step father has always been strained. We didn't get along very...
Same. I have found that no matter how much I lecture or try to warn my kids, sometimes they choose to learn the hard way. It it what it is I guess. 🤷♂️
I like reading a few blogs. It's fun to read about people's experiences and what they're doing. There was one I used to read for a few years before it went inactive in mid 2020. The owner made a post saying that they couldn't find time to continue posting.
Vacations can be fun, but not all of the time. I have found that staycations can be just as much fun and are sometimes more fun than vacations themselves. I don't always like having the stress of traveling or what amount of money I'll be having to spend which is probably a lot.
That happens at my house all of the time. Sure, people take their shoes off once inside, but it still tracks crap in by the door that I end up having to sweep up.
The most common is people texting or talking on their phones when they drive. It's a major problem. I think a lot of states are mandating that if a cops sees you doing it while driving, they're pulling you over and writing you up.
Your thoughts?

I think the Internet is now a part of everyone's life. Everyone is basically expected to use it these days. You can't really get anything done without it.
I used to have one for many years when I was a kid in middle / high school. I had several CD's that I would listen to. I really enjoyed it when they were popular.
I haven't been to a library since high school. I rarely ever read novels or text books anymore. All of my reading is done online via forums or reading news on websites.
I've been meaning to buy it lately since I heard they've managed to patch the game and it runs good now. But still, when I think of Cyberpunk 2077, I think of all of the glitches and back to back complaints that it got lol
Not really. I do miss buying gamer guides at times. I don't buy physical copies anymore. I've strictly been doing digital downloads since Covid hit in 2020. Game Stop is closed and there weren't a lot of games that I liked at Wal-Mart, so enter the Microsoft store. There's tons of stuff I like...
I think I read somewhere that Keanu Reeves donates and gives cash away to people under the table. I know back in the early to mid 90's he gave his motor cycle away to a homeless person.
A guy I was talking to at the dealership where I work stated that if everyone were to switch over to electric right now, it would crash the electric grid and that the United States would be experiencing brown outs across the country. He stated that the Biden Administration hasn't even help prep...
Yep and it's not going to stop until certain muslim organizations get what they want. The surrounding Islamic countries do not want Israel to be a non-Islamic state.
I honestly can't answer the question until Biden is out of office lol. Because if Trump gets in, Electric cars will just be optional and I suspect a lot of people would rather drive fuel cars instead due to the inconveniences that come with driving battery powered cars.
Both of my sisters are pretty chill nice people. I'd say they're both my favorites. My brother on the other hand is a different story and I'm happy that he isn't in my life due to how much drama and bs that he causes.
Sure, but he's under the belief that vaccines are supposed to make you bullet proof to the disease. That's where I disagree with his argument, a vaccine is just supposed to keep it from killing you and help you get over it faster when you do get a break through infection.
It's the same with...
I've been there at least once. A lot of those trolls resort to an argumentum ad baculum like death threats, bodily harm, or court lawsuits to shut someone down when their fallacious argument goes right into the toilet. Those people can't stand being wrong. Being wrong goes against their...
I decided many months ago that I would lay off of the soda and start drinking more water. Which I have and It's been better for me. Too much of it is really bad for your kidneys.
I've never personally had a near death experience. But my mother did with a car wreck back in 2003 that really messed her up. It caused her a lot of issues that she had to work through for several years.
I really wish I had held off on getting married back when I was 22. Me and my ex wife had gotten married within 7 months and that was way too soon. If I could go back in time, I would not have done it nor would I have stayed with her. I know back then when she kept pushing for me to marry her, I...
18 for sure yeah. But age isn't everything. Some people are too immature to comprehend how a relationship should work. I don't believe being selfish in a relationship / marriage is going to get very far.
Sure, I love dumping it all over my waffles and pancakes. I'm told I use too much, but really I just love the syrup more than I do the main course :giggle:
I've been on several of those set up by my mother and a friend I used to work with. They never worked out. I've always found success in using social media or going with online apps.
I think it's all about will power, motivation, and self control. I do admit, it's hard trying to eat less or try healthier things that are not appetizing. I dieted once for months. I felt that it was one of the most difficult things that I ever did.
I don't pay for Amazon Prime that often. I always wait and get a free trial on it so I can watch their shows online and then whenever I've watched everything that I've wanted to watch, I cancel it.
No, I wont work a job that requires me to travel, unless they pay me really good. The last place I worked for that wanted me to travel was for a vacuum company that I tried for 2 days. They only paid commission and they wanted me to drive 6 hours out of town to sell someone. I was broke at the...
Humans for the reason that it was humans who have driven whole scores of animals right into extinction. Either by over hunting them or invading their environment.
I'd have to agree with you. That kind of parenting teaches kids that if they protest and make enough noise, the parents will give in and they get what they want. You have to reign over kids with an iron fist or they'll walk all over you.
If all parties agreed to a polygamous relationship and they're happy, I don't see that as a bad thing.
It does when none of the parties involved with the person signed up for that and the person is doing it anyway....then it's a bad thing.
It's pretty hard to tell these days with inflation and all. Some people who retired 20 years ago (back in the mid 2000's) are having to come out of retirement to work again because their money ran out.
Getting bills paid.
Paying for car and health insurance.
Rent or mortgage payments so they can keep a roof over their head.
Working full time jobs in order to make ends meet.
Taking care of relatives.
I had a similar situation on a forum that was being advertised on FP once. The owner didn't care nor did he do much about it, which pushed me to quit visiting his forum. But it didn't stop at his forum. They sent me an email to which I deleted. I ended up ignoring them and they just stopped and...
I don't do well being pressured to do things I don't want to do. I have often ended up quitting. My mother's church for one, she had me volunteering over there when I was a young adult and that blew up in her face. I don't do religion or do anything for free unless you're close family or a...
Mine too! I've been fighting the habit for 6 years now. Sometimes I beat it for a while and just clip my nails and other times I find myself biting my nails off.
I believe that abortion should only be between a patient and their doctor. We don't know what the issue is or what they're going through, therefor I often withhold judgment. Because it's a medical treatment over some health issues that many do not understand, I often do not view abortion as a...

I don't like taking back gifts. It's kind of pointless. When I've ended relationships or friendships, I didn't want to take back anything. It just makes you look bad.
I've been given life long advise from when I was growing up as a child. Parents are all of the time giving their kids advise to help them make the best moral choices.

I guess it depends on the person and why they're putting so much time into their work. I guess some people find security in working long hours. I hated where I lived so much in Florida, that I devoted most of my time to a job that I worked at. I depressed. I was desperate to make a living. I...
Those people weren't happy before they tried becoming rich. No one wants to be poor and having nothing. Some people who are never happy, will never attain it. Happiness isn't in the having, it's in just being.
It's a double edged sword. We also use technology to work. If you a drive a car to work, you're using technology. If you're using a computer at a desk job that you have, you're using technology. If you're using lifts and tractors at your job, you're using technology. At Wal-Mart and other...
I think if we are kind, it will be a kind world.
I've had to accept it in life. People will always judge you. If I am to be judged, I'd like to be judged as a nice guy. :)
Sometimes having a goal can be helpful for people. I have some long term goals I'm working on. I'm looking forward to seeing the results. I think I'll be proud that I did it.
Yeah, I have to say my mother and my step father did well in raising me. I have morals, no criminal record, a good career, good kids, and a wife that I love to death. I think I turned out good. 👍
Easier said than done. I'm of a mind where you have to judge others in order to pick and choose what kind of people you allow to be in your life. I've had too many toxic people come into my life and cause problems. Not anymore. I've learned my lesson the hard way.

Sadly no. Money shouldn't matter, but it does matter. You can't get anywhere in life without it. The government in my country wants people to work and pay taxes.
That's how I feel. It's not fair. Our prison system works so well, that these people want to go back as soon as they get out because in prison they don't have to take responsibility or worry about retirement or worry about paying to keep a roof over their head. Why do that when the government...
No. I prefer to keep my thoughts private and in my skull. Not all ideas are popular. People tend to find journals or diaries and read them, or use them against you. I've heard horror stories about people in school getting into fights over it because their friend found their private writings and...
