In this weather nothing like a glass of sugar cane juice with crushed ice with a touch of lemon I have not seen any hawkers around this year and so probably I will miss drinkg sugar cane juice this year As kids we used to chew sugar cane and for that one needs strong teeth.

Our staple diet is boiled rice which needs to be cooked in a pressure cooker. For biryanis and pullao we use Basmati rice. Healthwise boiled rice is good as it takes of acidity if any. Drinking rice water that one gets after draining the cooked rice is also good for takaing care of acidity.
